Experience and approach

Assalāmu ʿalaykum, I’m Mohammed Abbas. I memorized the Qur’an at 13 and have taught non-Arabic speakers since 2018.
My professional teaching experience includes AlQuran Classes from 2018 to 2021 and Itqan Quran from 2021 to the present. I have taught Qur’an, Tajwīd, Arabic and Islamic Studies to children and adults from different countries and backgrounds.
That experience shapes every private lesson. I identify where a student struggles, adapt the exercises and correct each difficulty before moving forward. For children, I also help parents understand their progress and stay involved.

Do I need to know any Arabic before starting?
No. The program is designed for complete beginners, including students who do not recognize the Arabic letters yet.
Is this suitable for both adults and children?
Yes. The same reading method is adapted to the student’s age, attention span and learning speed. A parent or guardian remains involved in scheduling for children and is welcome to observe.
How long is each lesson?
Every live lesson is 30 minutes and taught privately, one-to-one. Short, focused sessions make it easier to stay consistent and practise between meetings.
Will I master all of Tajwīd in this program?
The goal is a strong Qur’an-reading foundation: recognizing, joining and sounding out vowelled text. Full Tajwīd mastery is a separate stage after confident reading.
Is the completion time guaranteed?
Each path is designed around its stated timeframe. Progress depends on attendance, completing the assigned practice and the student’s individual pace, so extra time may occasionally be helpful.
